Pagan Values Event 2010

June 2010 is, once again, International Pagan Values Blogging & Podcasting Month!

Whether June marks the Summer or Winter Solstice, let us take time to share our ideas and ideals on the Values and Virtues and Ethics we have found within our many Pagan paths. In sharing these ideas and discussions not only can we learn more about where our faiths and philosophies are leading us, we can learn about one another, and we can share with the larger world what sort of people Pagans really are.

The 2009 event, called on a whim, ended up being a wild success with over 100 articles and at least one podcast in the discussion. If you are interested in this years event you can post a comment below and start working on your post or episode for June!

  10. Snowhawke

Greetings. My name is Snowhawke and this site was passed on to me by my teacher in England, Bobcat. I have an article on Pagan Ethics that I would like to contribute to this project. Also I have written a lot about the nature of sacred relationship on my Druidry blog: http://snowhawke.wordpress.com/, how viewing all of reality as sacred, demands of us, guide our behaviors, creates a set of pagan values that allow for freedom, yet freedom always held within the dynamic of relationship. When all the world is made of spirit, the sense of hierarchy breaks down. This perfect equality is something that is a constant in my life. Nothing can be taken for granted. I have to consider the tribe, the spirits of place, the extended web of interconnection and the future generations in all that do. And because my sense of values are built upon honorable relationship, soul to soul, they aren’t dogma but living and appropriate to the relationship. I think it speaks very highly of pagans that we can deal with the complexity of constant change and our values are built upon the recognition of the spiritual nature of all that we experience.

I am looking forward to exploring this site and reading the contributions from everyone.
